The story began in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, a rebellion broke out known as the Revolt of Yellow Turbans, local warlords sprung up everywhere in struggle for the control over the country. Dong Zhuo dominated the court by enthroning Emperor Xian. Cao Cao and other powerful lords gathered their forces to defeat Dong Zhuo, finally Dong Zhuo was killed by Lui Bao. Cao Cao removed Emperor Xian from Luoyang to Xuchang, and later defeated Yuan Shao in the battle of Guandu, and unified the northern region. At the same time, Liu Bei then joined forces with Sun Quan with the help of Zhuge Liang to stand against Cao in the battle at Chibi, Cao was defeated. Thus the confrontation of three rival powers came into being and China entered the period of the Three Kingdoms. To recover the Central Plains, Zhuge Liang made six expeditions to Qishan, however he was died of life exhaustion at Wuzhangyuan. The last emperor of Shu was finally eliminated by Family Sima.
