I would say her performance in this Japan concert was the best one I`ve ever seen in the last decade. Her live performance was absolutely tremendous and this is what live really is. I have to say it`s MUCH better than her 94 and 98 concerts. Live gig isn`t about clothes, the stage or whether or not she sings better than she does in Cds. It`s all about whether or not the songs "give" you anything or "excite" you in the sense that you are totally INTO the songs. If you are a true Faye`s fans, you can tell from the set list that most of the songs are Faye`s favourites, especially those in the first disc. I don`t think she will be able to do this in any Hk concerts, due to the fact that they aren`t hit songs to the general public. I`m so glad that Faye can finally make it and do it in her own way. You can tell she really enjoyed the concert from looking at her face and all her funny gestures throughout the concert. I love all her looks. Some people may find her look a bit stupid but i think she looked sooooo cool in those funny outfits, especially the ostrich skirt. If you haven`t got her last two HK live Cds, doesn`t matter, because this gotta be the one that you must have in your cd collection. I definitely give it 9 out of 10.

This concert in Japan really shows how well Faye can sings live. If you are paying attention, songs such as "new roomates" and "xiang nai er" is very hard to perform on stage on a live audience, but Faye can pull it out. Also the song "thanks you for hearing me" is exceptional. How many singer todays can sings live in Chinese or even english can do that Only top singer like Faye and a handful of others can do it. I suggest buying this DVD its totally worth your money. As for her stage performance, everyone knows she is not like Madonna or Janet Jackson, she doesnt have much of her stage present but she covered it up with her angelic voice. The way she sings has always been nonchalant, but she has many other styles too. Back in the early 90s her style was more R&B, then she changed it to alternative, then opera. That only proves that she can change her voice depending on todays trend. How many artist do you know who can do that Anyways, this DVD gives you a variety of songs choise from alterntive to opera and everythign in between. Go get this DVD and you will enjoy it, she will blow you away. Listen to without having bias then you will realise that her voice is very melodious.
