Baystar Compact Hydraulic Outboard Steering System

BayStar Compact system designed to fit even the narrowest of splash wells.

For outboard boats under 150 hp total, BayStar provides hydraulic steering performance for the lower horse power range.

For outboard engine applications over 150 hp, choose one of the Seastar® family of products.

  This model includes

• 1 x BayStar helm pump (HH4314)

• 1 x BayStar Cylinder (HC4645H)

• 1 x BayStar Tubing kit (HT4420H, 2 x 20′ hoses)

• 2 x Hydraulic Steering Fluid (HA5430)

• 1 x Filler Kit (HA5438)

Features
      • Patented No FeedBack™ Steering lock valves.
      • 5 turns lock-to-lock.
      • Up to 150 horsepower (total).
      • Available either as separate components or as a complete system ready to install.
      • Fixed cylinder.
      • BayStar hydraulic tubing cut to suit application.
      • Tilt option available.
      • Requires 3” (76mm) cut-out hole in dash.
      • Requires 21” (534mm) splash well width.

Will it fit?

Is there enough room in the splash well for full engine tilt?

Find the dimensions ( A, B & C ) of your splash well. Check them against the minimum splash well dimensions for full engine tilt for your engine and cylinder

Notes:

a. Ensure there is no interference between the BayStar cylinder rod (starboard side) and the splash well boot or engine controls & cables

b. Dimensional restrictions also apply to external motor mount brackets

c. Ensure dimension ‘A’ maintains 21” (813mm) through full trim/tilt range

d. Maximum transom thickness 3” (76mm)

e. Engines less than 70HP may require up to an additional 1” (25m of splash well clearance
