While we love every part of selling authentic pre-owned Louis Vuitton, I think it's safe to say that the trunks are our favorite! Louis Vuitton began as a trunk maker. He opened his first shop in Paris in 1854. The first Louis Vuitton trunks were flat and made of a grey Trianon canvas. In 1888 he introduced damier canvas. Louis Vuitton died in 1892. His son George went on to make the Louis Vuitton brand an international sensation. He created the LV monogram canvas for his trunks in 1896. It's ironic that this pattern was created in response to the early Vuitton counterfeit trunks.
