Kutztown PA, is a small community located about 1 1/2 hours north of Philadelphia. Our town has a population of about 5,000, with a small main street that, like everything in our community, is a blend of old and new.

We are surrounded by very similar small communities and by beautiful farmland -- lots of farmland and lots of cows! We have roadside stands filled with fresh meats and farm fresh produce all summer long!

We share our community with our Mennonite friends, who mostly live a more simple life. They dot our land with immaculate farms and one-room school-houses. They dot our roads with bicycles and horse and buggies.

And on the opposite end of the spectrum, we also share our community with Kutztown University and its 15,000 plus students. Not only do they add noise, bars and tanning salons to our community they also share culture, arts and fantastic athletic facilities that would never be in a small town like ours.

Everything we offer as our Shop At Clares brand, is made right here in our community. In fact we partner with our Mennonite friends, who are both expert seamstresses and also expert craftsmen. We can't always source parts, such cord locks or grinding mechanisms from within the USA, but we do our best. Please enjoy and check back often for an ever expanding selection of quality items!
